Professional Learning

We offer a full range of training workshops. Use the links below to see current schedules.

(Many of our workshops are held at our BOCES 4 Science offices. Click here for a map and directions.)

If these do not fully meet your professional learning needs, we will work with you to determine an appropriate plan.
• Full-day, in-person Curriculum Unit/Kit workshop
• Online, half-day Curriculum Unit/Kit workshop
• Online, 3- or 4-hour Curriculum Unit/Kit workshop series, weekly for an hour at a time
• Science workshops on specific topics, in-person or online, timeframes appropriate to topics addressed

Click here for a list of current Curriculum Unit/Kit Workshops and registration information.

Curriculum Unit/Kit Workshops are written to be three-dimensional, and training sessions emphasize how instruction has shifted with the NYSSLS. BOCES 4 Science Curriculum Unit/Kit Workshops, as well as all supporting materials on the BOCES 4 Science website, are free with the lease of the corresponding unit. Upon completion of a BOCES 4 Science Professional Learning course, participants earn CTLE credits. In-person and online formats are offered.

Join our science instructional specialists as they help you navigate expectations, glean tips for set up and implementation, and practice activities within each NYSED Science Investigation.
